Been thinking about what to get in the ground this month and wondering who else here has an allotment or a garden they're properly invested in.
Last year's courgettes were a disaster — too much water, I think, or not enough sun, or both. This year I'm keeping it simpler.
There's something about being on a plot that quiets everything down, isn't there. Not sure I can explain it better than that. Philip's book touched on that kind of ordinary-life stillness and it rang true.
So — what are you sowing right now? Anything you're determined to get right after last year went wrong? And does anyone else find an hour on the plot does more than most things?
