Been wondering if there's any radio folk lurking about. CB, amateur, shortwave — any of it.
There's something I find hard to explain about voices arriving out of the air at night, especially on shortwave. Stations from the other side of the world, all that static and then suddenly someone's there. It feels almost like the radio's doing something it shouldn't quite be able to do.
Did any of you have the CB years, either in a lorry or just messing about? Or maybe you've got a licence now, or you just listen? Curious what draws people to it — whether it's the kit, the community, or just that slightly eerie feeling of the signal finding you.
