Philip's bit about the gratitude notebook is one of those things that sounds almost embarrassingly simple until you actually try it. I've seen people swear by them and I've seen the notebook end up under a pile of post by the 12th of January.
So I'm curious — has anyone here actually kept one going past the first flush of enthusiasm? What made it stick, or what made it slide? And I'd especially love to know the smallest thing anyone's written down. Not the sunsets and the big moments — the genuinely tiny stuff. Because I suspect that's where the real practice lives, if it lives anywhere.
