There is a moment — sometimes before a word has been exchanged — when something settles, and you just know. This one. One of mine.
I am curious what that recognition feels like for people. Not what you think about it afterwards, but where you feel it first. Is it something in the chest? A loosening? A sense that you can stop performing, just for a bit?
And I want to ask the harder version too: have you ever been wrong? Someone who lit up all those signals and then slowly didn't, or someone you nearly walked straight past who turned out to matter enormously?
I ask partly because the book this community grew from talks a lot about inner knowing — trusting what you sense before you can explain it. But I wonder if we apply that instinct unevenly. Sharper with strangers, blunter with the people already close to us. Or the other way round.
What is your experience of it?
