There is something about the small ones that stays with me most.
Not the grand gestures — the big cheque, the rescue — but the pound coin left in the supermarket trolley, the stranger who held a door in the rain, the person who waved you into a queue of traffic and probably forgot about it before they reached the next junction.
Sometimes those things come back. Not always from the same person, not always by any obvious route, and sometimes years later when you have completely forgotten what you gave in the first place.
I am curious whether that has happened to anyone here. A small kindness you offered without thinking, and then something quietly returned — however indirectly, however hard to pin down.
