Feels like it comes up a lot on here, and I'm genuinely curious — when someone is deep in grief, what actually helps? Not in theory, just in practice.
I've read enough to suspect "they're in a better place" lands harder than people intend. But I honestly don't know what the good stuff sounds like. A specific thing someone said. A small thing someone did. Even just showing up.
What's stuck with you — in a good way? And if there's a phrase that felt kind but didn't, I'd be interested in that too. No wrong answers.
