There's a version of this conversation that never gets much airtime: the one where someone genuinely opens themselves to guidance — or a sign, or a message, or whatever word fits their framework — and then waits, and then nothing arrives.
Not a subtle thing they almost missed. Nothing.
I find that silence interesting precisely because it's the hard case for every position. For those inclined to believe, it needs explaining. For committed sceptics, it counts as evidence. But for most people actually living it, neither response quite fits the weight of the moment.
So I want to ask plainly: how did you handle it? Did the silence shift anything — about your beliefs, about what you were actually asking for, about yourself? Did you find a way to sit with it honestly, or did you eventually fill it in somehow?
I don't think there's a wrong answer here. I'm genuinely curious what people do with the absence.
